Brake: Eliminating Driver Distractions workshop
16 Mar > London, UK

Eliminating Driver Distractions
Preventing crashes related to in-vehicle distractions
Driving is the most dangerous and complex activity that many of us do on a daily basis. 1 in 3 drivers admit to having crashed or nearly crashed as a result of distraction.
This essential Brake workshop, back by popular demand, will outline the current legislation, explore the effects of distractions on driving and present research results from experts in the field, TRL. It will provide advice on engaging drivers to help them think about their driving behaviour and make positive changes. The workshop includes a presentation from ARCO which has successfully implemented a ban on phone use while driving for work.
Speakers:
• Dr Nick Reed, Senior Researcher, TRL
• Dr Will Murray, Research Director, Interactive Driving Systems
• Neil Jowsey, Head of Sales and Marketing, ARCO
